Description
In this wonderfully relaxing afternoon of bookbinding with professional bookbinder Mylyn McColl, you’ll be introduced to a form of decorative stitch binding known as the criss cross long stitch. During the class, you’ll begin by creating a cover using decorative paper and then work out the pattern for the holes. Finally, you’ll finish your book by attaching the sections together with a long stitch, using multiple coloured threads to create your gorgeous completed book. At the end of the afternoon, you’ll leave with a beautiful handmade book and the skills to make more! The workshop is suitable for both beginners and also people with some prior knowledge of book binding.
