Come and try the ancient technique of cuttlefish casting, using the dried bone of a cuttlefish. Bring along a special beach find like a favourite shell or carve a shape into the soft inner surface.
We will be using pewter which has a low melting temperature, to create a cast of your piece. The object you make can be kept as a small sculptural object or turned into a pendant or keyring. Will you keep it or give it as a gift?
This class is suitable for beginners as well as those with some previously tried silver or jewellery making. I will be running this course throughout the year and am happy to run private workshops for groups throughout the year.
Depending on changing guidelines to do with COVID 19 I will be offering dates in the future but if you have a family group who would like to book then please get in touch!
Please wear clothes you don't mind getting dusty/dirty and shoes that cover your toes!
Included will be delicious cake served with Tea or Coffee at the Harbour Bar.
If you will be redeeming a CraftCourses gift voucher on this course, the voucher code must be provided at the point of booking.

Really enjoyable morning. Katy explains things so well, we all had a good result to take home. Could have done a whole day as you learn so much with the first casting it would have been good to have had another go.
Venue is lovely if a little bit out the way and the cake is just scrumptious.
I look forward to a return visit to do some silversmithing.
Thank you Katy.
Response from Katy Luxton Jewellery:Thank you Grace, I am so glad you enjoyed it!
