Collage workshop with Helen Norman - full day

Create your own Impressionistic Collage with experienced collage artist Helen, who has many years of experience in both exhibiting and teaching collage. She will guide you through this relaxing, eco friendly and mindful workshop, taking great care to help you to select your chosen subject from her bank of exciting pictures. Of course you are welcome to bring your own photograph or picture along and Helen will guide you through your selection to ensure it will make a suitable collage. Amazingly for this art form, you will only need to use torn news print, magazines, and glue to achieve this remarkable effect. The workshop is in the studio at The Hen House in a beautiful, rural environment on the Gloucestershire/Herefordshire border not far from the charming market town of Ledbury. Helen studied to teach Art at Bristol University together with the RWA, and has taught both in schools and in adult education for many years, also using art as a therapy. She has lived and exhibited her collages regularly both in the UK and France, where she lived for many years. Her collages are now permanently displayed in the Take 4 Gallery in Ledbury, she is showing her latest works as part of H-Art week, 6th - 14th September and regularly exhibits in Cheltenham. In June 2025 Helen was invited to exhibit her collage 'The Red Room' at the annual Society of Women Artists exhibition in The Mall Galleries in London. Helen is a collected artist in the UK, France and the USA, and is also associated with the Slimbridge Wetland Centre, Pegasus Art, Stroud and Nature in Art Gloucestershire. A longer day gives you the opportunity to collage at a slower pace, or to try a more complicated piece, or perhaps a Christmas present for a loved one. We’re offering the workshop at £85 per person, which is a 10% discount on the usual all day price. The workshop starts as before at 9.45am and finishes at 4pm.

What's included in the price?

All materials are provided and coffee/tea, soft drinks and homemade cake are served in both the morning and afternoon, however we do ask you to bring your own lunch due to so many different dietary requirements. You can relax and have lunch in the Hen House (holiday let) where you can use the microwave or stove if you wish to bring food to heat up.
