Description

Join Sarah Hardacre for a hands-on collage workshop where creativity takes centre stage. The session begins with a short introduction to Sarah’s collage practice and the rich history of the art form, before diving straight into making. This relaxed and inspiring workshop is perfect for anyone who loves cutting, layering, and experimenting with images, or wants to try collage and explore the medium. You’ll have the chance to connect, create, and develop your own visual voice. There will be plenty of inspiration and reference books to draw ideas from, as well as a huge selection of papers, magazines, and books to rip, cut, and collage. By the end of the session, you’ll have your own unique pieces, ready to frame and proudly display on your wall. Sarah Hardacre is a Manchester-based visual artist and printmaker whose collage and print works explore women’s experiences within the urban landscape, blending historical imagery and architectural form. Represented by Paul Stolper Gallery, London, her work is held in major public and private collections worldwide. Her workshops invite participants to discover the joy of cutting, layering, and storytelling through images — combining creative play with insight into the history and practice of collage. “I had great fun at Sarah’s collage workshop learning how she put work together. Then given the tools and some great materials to create my own – it was really inspiring, insightful and fun.” - Martha Distin-Webster, Artist. “I absolutely loved Sarah’s collage workshop. She created such a welcoming and inspiring atmosphere. It was hands-on, thought-provoking, and a great space to connect with other creatives. I came away buzzing with ideas.” - Jojo Hayfron, Artist & Podcaster.
