Description
You know how much we love a unique pottery class and this one is no exception. In this 2-hour class you can create your own vase using pre-thrown pots of various shapes. Before the class we will be putting Caroline to work throwing a wide selection of pots, which will be ready for you to choose from at the class. Once you've chosen your 3 different shapes Caroline will teach you how to join them together, as well as how to add handles and carve into the clay if you so wish. Finally you will be able to use underglaze colours to really personalise your vase before we fire it for you. This is a fab opportunity to create a vase that perfectly matches your style and personality. As you can see from the photos (some of which were made by complete novices at our test workshop) you can create some really fun and unique pieces. Each of the pre-throw pots will be approximately 8cms high so your vase will be about 25cm high. Because it's almost the weekend we will have some delicious home-made rhubarb/redcurrant gin or prosecco (or both!) to get the evening started (as well as soft and hot drinks) plus you're very welcome to bring a bottle and nibbles if you fancy making an evening of it. Our Thursday and Friday night classes are a really brilliant way to kick start the weekend so feel free to come with friends and relax with some crafty capers.
