Beginner's upholstery - half day course
Description
Beginner’s Upholstery class (level 1) * Learn how to strip, pad and cover. * Learn how to use upholstery tools and materials. What do we need to bring? You should bring a chair or just the slip seat, fabric - at least 0.5/sqm for a chair, foam calico or dacron to cover the foam, new webbing if this needs to be replaced. We stock the above items (apart from the fabric which will be your choice). They can be purchased on the day if you don't have your own. What is the difference between this and the full-day class? With the half-day class, you should bring your own dining chair so you can get practical experience. David will pick one chair to demonstrate on and you will be able to reupholster your seat with help from David. With the full-day class, participants will be working on their own chairs under instruction and in many cases, the chairs will need restoration and repairs unrelated to the upholstery part of the job. What do we need to bring? Basic upholstery sundries are included. Bring your own dining chair if you wish. By booking this course, you are agreeing to our terms and conditions. Available on request.
