My love of woodcraft was due to a meeting with a guitarist friend who had made an acoustic guitar. We talked about his guitar for many hours and I thought it would be a challenge for me to have a go! Well that was 6 years ago and now in 2023 I am in a small workshop in Stoke where I build various instruments. The Strumstick instrument build is a great way to get to grips with fine woodworking and is an ideal step towards acoustic guitar building. No experience in woodwork is needed.

"Ted was an excellent tutor, he showed me from the start to the finish what I was capable of. He took his time to show me the different techniques of sanding as well as using the band saw. I learnt a lot in a short time to make a box."
