The environment was excellent for learning and the small group provided an opportunity to engage with and pick up tips from other learners. "I had the most fabulous day learning the basics of upholstery with the wonderful Sarah who welcomed me into part of her home. This day was part of my birthday present bought for me by my wife and I can honestly say that the whole day was just perfect. Sarah is a brilliant teacher who demonstrated each part of the process in a comprehensive way to ensure that I had a complete understanding of what was required, she then let me try and replicate the process with gentle hints to assist me in getting the required result. At no point was I made to feel inadequate and I was delighted with my finished result and will definitely return for some more instruction but this time with my wife who is also keen to learn."

"I am in the process of reupholstering the arms of a Parker Knoll armchair and recovering the rest of the chair and have really enjoyed the process so far under Sarah's diligent guidance. The classes are small so you don't spend time waiting for Sarah's advice and she is an excellent teacher. If you're thinking of pursuing an upholstery project I would 100% recommend booking a course with Mode Upholstery!"

I took along a small chair and had fun stripping it right back to the frame discovering along the way the layers of different covers and materials that made up the history of the chair. "I thoroughly enjoyed my day under Sarah's guidance. She made us feel very welcome and the space was perfect for facilitating a small group. I took a Parker Knoll arm chair to the class and it was my first experience of re-upholstery so quite a big challenge! However, Sarah's teaching was individualised and she was very helpful in all aspects. I look forward to booking more sessions in the future!"

"I did the one-day taster course with Sarah and thoroughly enjoyed it. I brought in a dining chair to recover and Sarah took me through the whole process from stripping down to building up the layers to the finished product. The class was a mix of experience so I could see the more advanced techniques that other students were using. Sarah was always on hand to show you the next step so no long waits while she was with another student. I'll be looking to do further training with Sarah in the near future."
