"A friend and I spent yesterday on this course. Fabulous, no pressure, everyone was very friendly and the tutors very encouraging. After initial instruction and completion of a test piece we could all create whatever we wanted and the help was first class. Having no previous experience did not matter and I would recommend this course. For anyone with an interest in learning new skills or just looking for an interesting experience. "

Mark Barnes reviewed: Stone carving Magical Creatures weekend at the Granary

"I had a fabulous weekend I arrived with an idea which I thought was ambitious and was encouraged to have a go. Kezia gave loads of useful input when needed but allowed us to explore. We all ended with fabulous prices to take home and all left wanting to do more. Best weekend in a long time. "

"I had a great day at the stone-carving course, and produced a relief of a leaf that was better than I imagined I could do in the time. Kezia is an excellent tutor and provided great light-touch guidance, letting us find our way ourselves and helping as appropriate. Highly recommended!"

Keri Thomas reviewed: Stone Carving 'taster session' in Maltese Limestone

"Great day being introduced to the joys of stone carving in beautiful Maltese limestone . Kezia gave really helpful support and encouragement to us all. Good to get the chance to create something from the heart that meant something to each of us - I did an enfolding symbolic image I use in my meditation prayers , and so good to see it revealed gradually in the stone. Could be longer next time! Thoroughly recommended . Thanks Kezia."

"Thank you so very much. We’ve both had a fantastic day and gone away feeling all enthused about stone carving. We want to come on another two day course with you. We cannot recommend this course and it’s wonderful tutor enough. X"

Granary Creative Arts Centre responded:

"Thank you so much! I loved seeing how you both really got immersed in the carvings and came up with such strong sculptures. Would be great to see you again. Best wishes, Kezia X"

Steven Pardoe reviewed: Stone carving Magical Creatures weekend at the Granary

"Recently completed this enjoyable 2 day Stone Carving workshop (Oct 2020) choosing to create a Green Man. Starting with a daunting block of stone and having no previous experience, with the help of some excellent teaching, instruction, guidance and encouragement from Kezia, I was rewarded with a somewhat comical Green Man at the end. The Green Man allows a large degree of creativity and fluidity in its design which I needed, it was not all easy going and at times frustrating. I could and probably will continue to refine my carving once home. The venue was good, as advised brought my own lunch but too engrossed on the first day to eat it. There were only 3 people on this course and Covid guidelines followed. Be prepared to be covered in dust, masks proved useful. Overall an enjoyable workshop, being pleased with my achievement and will probably continue to try some carving at home and another course in the future (? Christmas present). Thank you Kezia."
