"Although I had made a few simple folded and single signature books I had never made a Coptic stitch book before. Janina took us through the process step by step, as well as providing one to one assistance where needed. Like many craft projects, the process takes practice and there are lots of tips and tricks which were passed on too. An enjoyable day and I feel sure there will be other courses that pull me back."

"All together, I would highly recommend this course. It is suitable for complete novices as well as those with some experience. Rosemary's teaching was informative and well structured; it didn't overwhelm or intimidate but was very helpful. I liked the way techniques were explained in stages, with opportunities to try new skills. The work areas were also spacious and thoughtfully organised for each person. The whole atmosphere was welcoming and friendly and everyone came away with a finished product that they were pleased with. The refreshments were also a nice touch! I would highly recommend this course."

"I loved this workshop! It was a great way to spend the day. The surroundings were lovely and the Micklems Farm team were so friendly and welcoming. Our tutor was extremely good and very thorough in showing us some of the more complicated steps doing coptic stitch binding. I feel that I've learnt so much more about bookbinding. It's greatly added to my knowledge."

The teacher was very encouraging, we had ample materials and many examples to choose from and the venue is a lovely old barn which has been converted into a beautiful studio. I am very pleased with the result and can highly recommend this course and any of the other courses run at this centre."
