"I attend a lot of different assorted craft courses and it's not very often on a course day that you've really achieved and produced something on your first day but I came away with a piece of work that I was really proud of at the end of the day. Sophie is a very friendly and confident teacher who goes out of her way to help make the day a wonderful experience. I already felt in the first half hour of teaching that I had learnt a lot and received my moneys worth of teaching! It was really interesting to look at the different types of sheep wool and feel how different they were to each other. She made the whole process seem so simple and demystified the hobby for me. There was lots of refreshment throughout the day, teas/coffees, chocolate eclairs, a wonderful lunch which included a smashing pavlova made by her mum. Special diets were also catered for. The garden workshop is lovely and it provided a very peaceful and relaxing setting for the day. As Sophie promised, nobody wanted to put down their creations for lunch as they were all enjoying making it so much. In fact I think we'd all of loved to have spent the whole weekend creating and we didn't want to go home. Sophie's enthusiasm is infectious. I have come away with more knowledge and the confidence to have a go on my own and create some more animals."

"I had a lovely day with Sophie and the other ladies on my course. I was inspired by the setting for the day; all the different wools and colours available brought to life by Sophie's explanations were fabulous. I completed a needle-felted penguin under her instruction. He's cute, and I'm so proud of him! The food and warm, lovingly provided hospitality from by Sophie's Mum was appreciated too. It was a great day which could only have been improved by a little more quiet time to concentrate on my felting and space in the conversation to ask questions. Thank you."

"I had not done any needle felting at all until I went for my day at Sophie's workshop. It was a very enjoyable course, I learnt a great deal and Sophie was a wonderful teacher. The procedures were explained very carefully and Sophie was there to support us in times of need! It was lovely that we all made different items and were therefore able to see different procedures. I would be very happy to attend the course again."

"This was the best day I have had crafting in a long time. I had no experience of felting at all and Sophie guided me throughout the day with patience and a smile. She is a wonderful teacher and I learnt so much. I made a small model of my dog Brussel and she looks absolutely fabulous (if I say so myself!) I can highly recommend this day you will love it"

"What a superb day we had learning all about felting! Sophie is kind, patient, knowledgeable and funny which is everything you need for a fabulous day learning a new skill. If you had told me that I was going to turn the pile of wool in front of me at the beginning of the day into something which, frankly, I am enormously proud of I would never have believed you but Sophie managed to teach us all to be 'so clever' whilst feeding us the most amazing food and drinks..what a genius she is!!!! Cannot rate this fantastic day highly enough. I loved it...thank you so much Sophie xx"

"I attended the workshop with Sophie earlier this month and can highly recommend it. As it was on a weekend it was important to me that the start time was not too early , so i was delighted that we started at a very acceptable 10.30am , with coffee and tea waiting for us when we got there. Sophie took the time to give individual attention to each group member and to help them choose the right materials to create their models in. The pace of the class was also carefully thought out with Sophie demonstrating each stage of the process before coming round and guiding each of us with our work. An excellent lunch was provided by Sophie's mum , and the afternoon saw us treated to coffee and cake. The models that our tutor had created demonstrated that she is clearly a very skilled craftsperson and even more than that, she can actually capture ( and help her pupils to capture ) the personality of animals with the use of just needles and wool. Overall a very enjoyable and relaxing day which even provided the chance to make new friends. What more could anyone need?"

"I attended one of Sophie's courses recently and I had the most fantastic time. The course was run at just the right pace with input from Sophie into my model whenever I need help. I felt I had really succeeded in my first foray into needle felting and I honestly believe all the participants that day would report the same. The home-made food provided for lunch was delicious and lots of drinks & biscuits were available during the day. The room went from very chatty as we discussed our plans to silence as we became engrossed in our individual projects and back again as we had breaks for refreshment. Whatever your ability you will have a fantastic time. I hope to come on another course very soon. Thank you Sophie!"

"I'd been meaning to start needle felting for a while but it always seemed so overwhelming so I decided to do a workshop. I'm so glad I picked Sophie's. Everything about the day was fabulous and Sophie made it very enjoyable. I can't believe I managed to create a replica of one of my rabbits. I would recommend this class to any beginner and I would have no hesitation in attending future workshops with Sophie."

"I went along to this workshop, not quite knowing what to expect but, hoping to enjoy a day of creativity. Sophie was the loveliest person and so patient with her teaching. She arranged for her partner to pick me up from the train station, nothing was too much trouble. The cottage was amazing, so peaceful and the lunch by Sophie's mum-fantastic! I had no previous experience of felting but had been wanting to try it for some time. I feel I learnt so much and was surprised at how much I could do. I would recommend this workshop to anyone."

I was made very welcome by Sophie , the small numbers on the day meant i soon felt part of a group, informal friendly with inspiring information and instruction , no pressure, lovely calm ,peaceful surroundings. I am coeliac and my dietary needs were carefully met. Lunch by Sophies mum was divine . "My mum and I came to Sophie's studio having never felted anything before and were surprised at what lovely dogs we made. Sophie is really helpful and gives you the step by step so that you can make the dogs at home later yourself. The food was amazing and we felt really comfortable and looked after for the whole day. Really enjoyed meeting everyone else, and what a beautiful studio. We will be back to make a bear!"

The booking process was straightforward, the venue lovely and Sophie was patient and helpful, providing lots of useful tips and techniques. The group size was also good and lunch delicious. "Having tried 'needle felting ' at home I was keen to get a more realistic look to the quirky/ animated little objects that I was making. I was thrilled to find this course in a picturesque setting. I thought that it was good value for money, and was totally convinced of this once I'd spent the day with Sophie. Sophie introduced the various fibres that could be used as well as clearly explaining the technique of felting using barbed needles. By the end of the day, I took away an handsome dog, that actually looked like a dog with his appealing eyes. As others have said, Sophie is so kind and friendly, and her mother's cooking delicious. I learnt so much, far more than I had from my own attempts through books and the internet. This course would be ideal for a girl's day out, a gift for someone or a wonderful treat for yourself. Don't hesitate to book."

"I attended Sophie's Teddy making course which was a fabulous day out. I had a little experience of needle felting but came away learning more techniques and with confidence to have a go on my own. I love the Teddy I made and was pleased with the result. I would recommend Sophies course, which is set in beautiful surroundings, and included a very tasty lunch cooked by her Mum."
