Description
Interested in learning basic DIY? This course is designed for total beginners, taught by female trained boatbuilders. We are here to empower women, most of the time these skills aren't as hard as they seem but women haven't been taught how to do them. This is a completely safe and non judgemental space to pick up some new skills. You will either be taught by Jo or Teigan dependant on what day of the week you book in... we are both trained boat builders and extremely competent in DIY and woodwork. Want to learn how to use a saw correctly? How to hang a picture on your wall straight? How to use an electric drill? What kind of screws do you need to use? How do I drill into plasterboard? How to use a jigsaw to cut a straight line? How to change a fuse? How to fill holes? These are the kind of skills we will cover. We will start with the total basics and you will leave with the confidence and skills to do some basic DIY around the home. You will leave having made your own shelf, cut to size and sanded with brackets attached. If you have a specific DIY skill you would like to learn please get in touch and I can look into getting the appropriate supplies.

FAQs
If you are going to get hungry over the course of the session I'd advise bringing a pack lunch. There is tea and coffee available at my studio, but there isn't many shops within walking distance.
There is indeed, there is usually parking directly out front but if this is unavailable There will be parking available within the yard.
