Watercolour for relaxation

Description

Join local artist Lou Davis for a relaxing watercolour painting session. Lou uses watercolour to create simple and approachable patterns that allow you to get acquainted with this medium in a way that helps you focus, shut out the outside world and simply create. In this workshop, you’ll paint three watercolour projects, learning to use the paints to create a number of effects, how to mix and blend colours on the palette or on the page, and embellish paintings with details in pen and with gold watercolour. This workshop is perfect if you’re new to watercolour and offers a really beautiful way to explore the medium, it’s also good if you’re experienced in watercolour and are interested in using your painting and drawing time to relax and de-stress.

What's included in the price?

All equipment is provided, and the materials you need to complete your project are included in the price of your workshop. And, you will take home all the beautiful pieces you have created. Locally-sourced, light refreshments are also included in the price, including a selection of Shibui teas, Mr Eion coffees, plus access to drinking water. On full day workshops you are welcome to bring your own lunch to eat in. There is a wide range of independent sit-in and takeaway cafés, local shops and delicatessens, plus a range of supermarkets within a few minutes walk.

The workshops are run from our mews home in the beautiful Georgian New Town of central Edinburgh. We believe in the wellbeing benefits of engaging in creative activity, and our class sizes are kept small so that you get the support you need to make the most of your time with us.
