The Art of Fluid Seas – Apex Resin Epoxy Art Class Inspired by Abstract Ocean Flow

X

Description

The Art of Fluid Seas is an in-depth resin epoxy art class designed to guide you through the creation of a layered, abstract sea artwork over three carefully structured Zoom sessions. Spread across three weeks and delivered at a pace that suits you, this workshop allows time for learning, curing, reflection and creative development; without rush or pressure. This class explores the movement, depth and emotion of ocean-inspired resin art, focusing on composition, texture, flow and finishing. Each session builds on the last, helping you develop both technical confidence and a strong, cohesive final piece. Workshop structure: Week 1 – First Pour & Composition You’ll begin by developing your base composition, learning how to plan and pour an abstract sea design using Apex One Coat epoxy resin. This session covers the fundamentals of resin mixing, colour placement and flow, alongside an introduction to simple lacing techniques using mind-blowing heat methods to create movement and interest. Week 2 – Texture, Detail & Islands In the second session, you’ll return to your artwork to add depth, texture and detail. We’ll explore how to build islands, shoreline effects and layered elements, pulling your composition together and refining the overall balance of the piece. Week 3 – The Art of Top Coating & Finishing The final session focuses on finishing techniques. Lou will demonstrate how to top coat using Cure Pro resin, alongside guidance on sanding, refining edges and achieving a professional finish. This session is demonstration-led, allowing you to complete your top coat confidently in your own time.
