Join this relaxed and inspiring watercolour painting class to get a real feel for how our courses run. This hands-on workshop is a wonderful activity for anyone wanting to learn more about this delicate and expressive medium, letting you experience the authentic atmosphere of our weekly lessons. You’ll learn the fundamentals of watercolour from one of our experienced tutors. You will be introduced to essential techniques, including how to use wet-on-wet and wet-on-dry methods, mix colours effectively, and control the flow of water and pigment on the paper. In your class, you're welcome to work on a subject of your choice, and our tutor will guide you with personalised tips and demonstrations. With no more than 10 students per class, you will receive plenty of one-on-one support. At Sunny Art Academy, our tutors come from some of the most respected art schools in the world, including the Royal Academy of Arts and Central Saint Martins. They bring their passion and expertise to help you grow in a supportive environment. All the materials you need for the session are provided, so you can just come ready to paint. You’ll leave with a clear understanding of the foundational principles of watercolour, feeling inspired and confident to take the next steps on your artistic path. Knowledge required: Absolutely no prior art experience is required!

Yes! Our classes are designed to give you the freedom to explore your own artistic interests. You're welcome to choose your own subject and medium—whether you're working from a photo, your imagination, or setting up a still life. And we have plenty of props in the studio for you to work with.
Unfortunately, our studio is located in a basement space and is only accessible via a full flight of stairs. As such, it is not suitable for wheelchair users or those with limited mobility.
We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. If you have specific access needs let us know.
Our closest tube station is Covent Garden, we are located less than a ten minute walk from there. Upon purchase, one of our team will send you detailed instructions on how to find our studio via email, just in case.
