Stained glass workshops in Bedfordshire

Description

About stained glass…be careful, it may be addictive! My workshops are for beginners and improvers. There are various types of workshops including: *Leaded stained glass: Indoor and garden panels. May, June, Sept, Oct. 2024. *Copper foiled stained glass for home and garden. November 2024. *Mosaic stained glass: Mirrors, coasters, and glass on glass. * See course descriptions and dates below. The most popular workshops are: Traditional leaded panel for home and garden. You will be making and taking home your own panel to hang, display or even install inside or out. Choosing from a wide selection of beautiful glass, you will learn how to cut glass, lead, solder, cement and polish up your own panel. Don’t worry about design at this stage, there will be a selection of abstract designs to choose from. This is a labour intensive workshop but it will be a great experience, lots of fun, a huge sense of reward and a stained glass panel to take home and show off! Copper Foiling 2 and 3d for home and garden. Come join us for this fun and creative workshop. Make light catchers, flowers, lanterns, birds and wind chimes to name just a few. *Optional mosaic item. No experience needed. After one workshop, you will be able to work on your table at home. It’s not as labour intensive as the leaded process and is a great way to start if you are limited for space. Mosaic stained glass: the most ‘organic’ workshop and you can complete a project if you can’t or don’t want to cut glass. Choosing from a wide selection of glass, you will learn how to cut or select glass before gluing it to a glass or opaque base, finishing off with grouting and polishing up. You will be able to make mirrors, coasters and 3D items…again, a great hobby to do at home! For the next scheduled course, we will focus on: Copper foil method 2 and 3d for home and garden 20th April Copper foil method 2 and 3d for home and garden 21st April Anna Conti has been taking on commissions for homes, schools, churches, public buildings and businesses for over 30 years.
