Stained glass workshops in Bedfordshire

X

Description

About my workshops…be careful, it may be addictive! The workshops are for beginners and intermediates. There are various types of workshop including: Leaded and garden panels Lamps, lanterns, candle stands and angels Christmas (or not!) decorations - copper foiling and mosaic Please contact me to find out which workshop runs on which date and to book your place. A two day option is also available. The most popular workshops are: Traditional leaded panel: you will be making and taking home your own panel to hang, display or even install. Choosing from a wide selection of beautiful glass, you will learn how to cut glass, lead, solder, cement and polish up your own panel. Don’t worry about design at this stage, there will be a selection of abstract designs to choose from. This is a labour intensive workshop but it will be a great experience, lots of fun, a huge sense of reward and a stained glass panel to take home and show off! Copper Foiling Method: if you don’t have much room or want to have a taster of stained glass, this method is fantastic for making smaller items such as light catchers, jewellery and 3d items. After one workshop, you will be able to work on your table at home. It’s not as labour intensive as the leaded process and is a great way to start if you are limited for space. Mosaic stained glass: the most ‘organic’ workshop and you can complete a project if you can’t or don’t want to cut glass. Choosing from a wide selection of glass, you will learn how to cut or select glass before gluing it to a glass or opaque base, finishing off with grouting and polishing up. You will be able to make mirrors, coasters and 3D items…again, a great hobby to do at home! Anna Conti has been taking on commissions for homes, schools, churches, public buildings and businesses for over 30 years. She runs regular stained glass classes and lectures on stained glass. Her first commissioned work was for Sir Richard Branson, chairman of the Virgin Group and appeared on 'This Morning' Television as Richard and Judy's 'stained glass expert'!
