About the Course
Learn stained glass in a working studio in this weekend workshop. Taught by Rachel Mulligan, an award winning professional stained glass artist with over twenty years experience. Only the finest quality mouth-blown glass is used, as Rachel believes that if you start with the best materials you will end up with a superior art work. A maximum of four students can be accommodated at a time. 10am-4pm.
Please get in touch for more details.
If booking with a CraftCourses voucher for part or all of the course fee, please fill in the contact form above or telephone us. Your voucher code must be provided at the point of booking.
What's included in the price?
All materials to make a small stained glass panel are included (handmade glass, lead, enamel paints, silver stain, solder, cement, polish etc). There may be a charge if you want to make something larger but this will be discussed with you. Use of tools and kiln are included. The Garden Gallery, adjacent to the Garden Studio, has a kettle and everything you need to make hot and cold drinks. Soup and a roll included or bring your own lunch. Biscuits are always available and there may be some homemade cake. Rachel has written and illustrated some useful teaching notes that will be emailed to you.
I cannot recommend Rachel's courses highly enough. She is welcoming, down to earth and her work is inspirational. She is a patient teacher and very adaptable to your own ideas or suggestions and able to gently give her own expertise when your own ideas need some help.
We learnt so much, but more importantly had a lovely creative evening away from the stresses of our day jobs.
