Description
This workshop is suitable for beginners with no previous jewellery making experience. The workshop allows participants to learn basic techniques and skills to create their own silver ring. During this workshop you'll learn techniques such as measuring, ring sizing, texturing, forming, soldering and finishing techniques to create your own unique ring in silver with 6mm wide sheet or wire. These techniques will be practised roughly in copper to allow for experiment and play before going on to create one ring in sterling silver. Places are limited to eight people on this workshop to allow individuals sufficient time with Lindsay to assist with each project. Lindsay Forbes has worked in the jewellery industry since graduating in 3D Design in 2010. Working in a variety of areas from retail to repair, she has a great amount of knowledge in jewellery design and technical skills in goldsmithing. Following her passion for designing and making jewellery she founded her own business; Laconic. Passing on knowledge and skills is something that Lindsay enjoys doing and creating a fun, friendly environment where people can come to relax, be creative and learn and so 'Bench Box' was created!
