Ever wanted to make your own jewellery? This beginner-friendly half-day workshop gives you a hands-on introduction to traditional jewellery-making, guiding you step by step as you create a unique silver piece to take home. Please note, there is a small materials fee of approximately £5–£15 for silver, payable on the day (depending on current silver prices and the amount you use).

What to Expect This is a hands-on workshop. The techniques are delicate and require a certain level of dexterity and independence, but don’t worry—guidance will be provided every step of the way. If you’re unsure whether the workshop is right for you, please get in touch—I’m happy to discuss your needs and help you decide. My goal is for every participant to feel comfortable, confident, and able to fully enjoy the experience. Age Guidance: The workshop is suitable for adults 18 and over. Participants aged 16–18 are welcome when accompanied by a paying adult—please contact me before booking. What to Bring: You don’t need to bring anything, but you’re welcome to bring a notebook, an apron, a drink (water, tea, or coffee), and reading glasses if you use them. Studio Guidelines: For safety and comfort in the studio, please tie back long hair, wear closed-toe shoes, and avoid loose clothing or dangling jewellery. What’s Included: Use of all the tools needed during the session Copper/brass for practice and design embellishment A 10% voucher for the Biscuit Factory Kitchen and 15% off voucher for your next jewellery purchase or workshop booking—redeemable once -online or in the studio. Attendee Limit: Classes are small and intimate, with up to 5 participants. Workshops require a minimum of 2 attendees to run, ensuring a hands-on, supportive experience for everyone.

Emine is a designer-maker of contemporary jewellery. She lives in Whitley Bay and works from her studio at the Biscuit Box Studios in Newcastle upon Tyne. Her work often explores amalgamation of materials and techniques to achieve harmonious wearable objects. She combines traditional silversmithing techniques with metal clay techniques. She shares her love of creating jewellery with others in her silver clay workshops within her studio and at six other galleries across North East.
