A lovely little blackwork seahorse surveys his world from a shadow of cross stitch coral both worked in DMC Colour Variations threads.
Second in our series of marine designs which we have created for blackwork and cross stitch.
Blackwork is very similar to cross stitch but works much faster due to the stitches covering a larger area. This piece could easily be completed in a weekend.
With concise instructions, this kit makes a mini course in its own right.
The seahorse is completed using a blackwork filling stitch design in a vibrant rusty red.
A delicate background of coral is created using cross stitch.
The kit comes complete with everything needed to complete the design which measures 13 x 13 cm approx. when complete. It is available on Antique White 28 count evenweave or 16 count Aida with the main elements of the design pre drawn in water soluble ink.

This is a great fabric package which includes lace, ribbons and embellishments. Well packaged and arrived quickly. Looking forward to starting a new project with my items.
Lovely fabrics good quality and coordinating colours love it 😊
This is a lovely kit with a good selection of fabrics, ribbons and embellishments to reflect the Lakeland Hues theme.
both my friend who I had a kit sent to, and myself who ordered the kits, were very pleased wth the kit and contents, all well packaged and a lovely seletion of fabrics etc to create with. a nice unusual kit.
This kit caught my eye when I saw it on Craft Courses, it looked so pretty and fresh colours. I received mine very quickly and it is so nicely packaged and a good deal of fabric and other embellishments too. I set great store by how things I buy are packaged up and this was really good.
I since ordered another kit to go direct to a friend and like with me she received it very quickly and is delighted with it.
Thank you Maire for such a lovely kit
This kit arrived earlier this week and is nicely packaged and has everything needed to make the item.
The instructions look clear and the end product looks like it will be beautiful (depending on my skill!).
The only reason I didn't give this 'excellent' is due to the fact that there's no print out for the stitches required, I'm going to look them up on YouTube as I think I know what I'm doing, but a simple print out showing how to do these stitches would be useful for others.
Overall, I'd buy this kit again, or another kit from the same maker.
