Painting holiday in Southern Spain. Come and paint in the warmth of the sun in Southern Spain. Banish the blustery British blues of winter and join us for an all inclusive, exclusive and strictly limited residential art course. Learn how to start or improve your painting and drawing skills whilst enjoying being outside in the delightful Spanish countryside where the orange, lemon and olive groves nestle on the sides of the mountains. £950 per person including accommodation is either a double ensuite or a twin room with private bathroom. All rooms are available to bring a non-painting friend or partner at the flat rate of £500. This will include everything other than the painting tuition and painting materials. This can be booked via a separate listing here on Craft Courses. Just choose the correct week! All rooms are fully equipped with towels and toiletries.

What's included in the price?

Day 1 Monday Arrive Malaga airport, private transfer to villa. Transfer will be booked based on the average arrival time of the guests.You can then relax, unpack and explore. We will have welcome drinks and an evening meal with a review of what we will be doing during the week. Day 2 Tuesday Morning - Breakfast in the villa. Short drive to a scenic location with complementary coffee in a café where we spend time sketching or painting the scenery. I will be on hand at all times to guide and assist you. Lunchtime - Lunch in local restaurant. Afternoon - Return to the villa and work on the mornings’ study pieces. Evening - Dinner at the villa. Day 3 Wednesday Morning - Breakfast at the villa. Painting in the gardens around the villa Lunch at the villa. Afternoon - optional ring carving session. Carve a ring in jeweller's wax and then when we return to the UK it is cast in sterling silver and posted to you on completion. A fantastic way to create your own unique bespoke piece of jewellery. Evening - Working on our paintings or sketches from the morning. Dinner at the villa. Day 4 Thursday Morning - Breakfast at the villa. We spend the day around the lovely villa, painting and sketching at your own pace. Lunchtime - Lunch at the villa. Afternoon - Continuing our mornings work. Evening - Celebratory dinner and recap of our inspiring and productive week. Day 5 Friday Breakfast at the villa and private transfer to Malaga airport for your return journey home. While you wait for your transfer you can relax either painting or just enjoying the sunshine and gardens. Pricing £950 per person 4 nights accommodation based on 1 or 2 people sharing a double or twin room (no supplement for single occupancy) All breakfasts, dinners and lunches are included with drinks, including local wine for dinner. Morning and afternoon painting and sketching sessions. Private transfer from and to Malaga airport. All transport to the local towns/villages for painting. Most painting and sketching materials, please let us know if you intend to bring all your own materials. Travel easels. Full use of all the facilities at the villa. A minimum of 15 hours of tuition and guidance from Sue. Please note that this course does not include flights. You may bring a non-painting friend or partner who will share your room and spend their time as they choose while we paint, draw and enjoy our excursions. Cost for this person is £500.

I am a third generation artist, I follow in the footsteps of my grandfather and mum. I first began painting in oils when I wanted a picture of my lovely lurcher, I had lots of photos of him but none were quite good enough, so I decided to have a go at doing a painting of him! It turned out really well and I had got the bug. My first love in painting is wildlife, I get so excited when I see an image or scene of animals, I just can’t wait to start painting it!
