Ever wanted to recycle your family heirloom jewellery into something more modern? You've come to the right place. All metal to be recycled has to have a visible hallmark and cannot be a chain. The price listed is for recycling your family's silver into a new piece of jewellery. If your piece is heavier than the metal supplied, there will be supplementary costs for the additional metal, this can be paid for on the day. If you would like to recycle gold jewellery this is possible but there will be around £100 in supplementary costs + any additional metal required costs. Please contact me if interested in this. In order to recycle your jewellery we will do some wax carving! You can make a ring, a pendant or some earrings. I can help with the design of this, and the potential re setting of stones (if required, again contact me if this is something something are interested in). This class is suitable for beginners and is a great introduction to wax carving. We will break each stage down step by step throughout the class, however you won't be able to leave wearing your creation... the casting process takes some time and I will post the final product to you within 3 weeks. I tutor up to 4 people in one session. More can be accommodated, but I will need to bring another teacher in - so only on request! This will take place in my studio in Penryn (near Falmouth), Cornwall. Please note, my studio is shared with a few other artists so there may be other people around while I'm teaching. Courses can be up to 4 hours long. Age Restrictions Classes are suitable for anyone over 12; for ages 12-16 they will need to be accompanied by an adult who is also booked into the class. All the wax required to make your creation! Please bring a pack lunch! Also, you may want to bring an apron, the blue wax goes everywhere!

FAQs
Depends which course you are booking onto and how many people are attending. If you are the only person attending, most courses will be complete within 3 hours. For groups of 3 or more you are looking at 4/5 hours for most courses.
If you are going to get hungry over the course of the session I'd advise bringing a pack lunch. There is tea and coffee available at my studio, but there isn't many shops within walking distance.
There is indeed, there is usually parking directly out front but if this is unavailable There will be parking available within the yard.
