Our full day workshop teach you the skills of candle-making so you can make your own, unaided at home with the added advantage of a one-to-one session so we can tailor the workshop to your specific requirements. The format of the day can also be determined by you.
What's included in the price?
A typical workshop format: Morning Session We usually run this as our beginners’ workshop: > Introduction to candle-making through the ages > Overview of the different types of wax, wicks, dyes, fragrance oils and candles > Learn 4 different candle-making techniques > Using individual melters, melt two types of wax, add dyes, fragrance oils and wicks to make four types of candle (choose from an option of over 20 candles, melts and room fragrancers) > Finish your candles off with beautiful packaging and decorations > A sandwich lunch will be provided Afternoon Session This can by tailored to your requirements but typically: > Create a “home” candle-making workshop >Following the step-by-step guide and our support you make your candles including calculating all the materials yourself, identifying the correct wick and calculating the quantities of wax, dyes and fragrance oils Post workshop > Take home a copy of our book "Making Candles" (published by Search Press) > Access to our Facebook Masterclass > Ongoing help and advice on setting up our own candle-making business

Maker
We are the candle-making experience company. The company was started by Sarah Ditchfield, who has a HR & training background. Following a candle-making Christmas present she received one year Sarah discovered a passion for candle-making and later combined this with her experience in training and development to set up Candle by Events. Today the company runs candle-making events, parties and workshops across the UK. Sarah's second book "Making Candles" was published in April 2017 by Search Press.
