Powertex Stone Art Clay Woodland Creature Large Hare with certified tutor Karen Hewitt - Waterlooville. This hare when complete is approximately 19" to 24" high. In this workshop I will show you how to create from the beginning an armature, how to clothe it in clay and shape and mold facial features. No two creatures every look the same they all take on their own character. This is a long day it will finish between 6 and 6.30pm this also requires a 2/3 hour colouring session approximately 4 days or so later - please advise when you would like to book this date in via email IF THERE ARE TWO PEOPLE ATTENDING I CAN SPLIT THE LONG DAY INTO TWO SESSIONS - 1. CREATING THE ARMATURE AND 2. ADDING THE CLAY Then when it is dry you will leave it with me for a minimum of three days and then return for 2 to 2 1/2 hours to complete the colouring. This is necessary to allow the clay to dry so that we do not damage it when completing the colouring. I am happy to facilitate this in an evening. Covid Safety measures are in place. Powertex fabric sculpting, stone art and mixed media workshops available. Powertex is a water based, non-toxic and environmentally friendly universal medium. It is a liquid that transforms natural fabrics into 2D and 3D sculptures and is essentially a glue and paint combined. Most projects after three weeks drying time are weather resistant and can be displayed outside. This product can be messy so it is advisable to wear old clothes and remove any jewellery if possible. You will however be supplied with an apron and latex/powder free gloves along with all the materials that you need to create a very personal piece of art. Where possible I use recycled items and fabrics to help save our environment. Please be aware sometimes workshops finish later than the published times due to differing abilities. I will always allow time for a project to be completed.

- All materials, apron, gloves - Beverage station supplied for you to help yourselves - You will need to provide your own lunch if applicable, depending on which workshops you attend. Only 2 places available on this particular course 3 at a push in my purpose built studio in my garden. Great tutor to student/attendee ratio with a very passionate certified tutor.

My Powertex workshops will give you a window into your own personal creativity. I will offer you the tools and instruction to create fabulous works of art; beware though as Powertex is a very addictive hobby and you may find yourself consumed by its magic. Most materials used are recycled. I offer small workshops for up to 4 people or 1 to 1 by arrangement.
