About the Course

Pottery experience day at Moon Studio Ceramics in rural Dorset.

This full day workshop is suitable for all skill levels and offers the opportunity to try a wider range of techniques than the Taster Class.

We’ll begin with a demonstration of hand building techniques including slab and pinch. You’ll also be shown how to throw different forms on the potters wheel. After this you will create your own wares. You will learn how to apply surface texture and decorate with coloured slips and underglaze to finish your creations. You can expect to make up to three small pieces or one large to be fired. Your work will then be glazed and fired, ready for collection (or delivery for P&P costs) around 4-6 weeks later. With just six places per workshop ensures plenty of one to one tuition.

Please bring a packed lunch.

Group size is small and welcoming and brilliant for friends or on your own.
Please contact Imogen for availability of places and to book.

If booking with a CraftCourses voucher for part or all of the course fee, please fill in the contact form above. Your voucher code must be provided at the point of booking.

What's included in the price?

Includes tuition plus all basic materials and two firings (bisc and glaze).
My studio is in a converted barn in a beautiful rural location close to Christchurch, nestled by the New Forest and Avon Beach. You will need a car to get here, but we do have ample free parking.
