Learn the basics of making highly effective natural, organic, cosmetic creams, body butters and balms that are safe and extremely beneficial for the skin. It will be a hands-on experience in making natural, organic skin care products. A full set of notes will complement the Workshop. The notes will provide detailed descriptions of all Oils, Waxes, Butters, Hydrosols, Emulsifiers, Preservatives, Antioxidants, Essential Oils used. It will explain the difference between oil-based cosmetics i.e. balms, salves, ointments and water-based products i.e. creams and lotions. Participants will make two cosmetic creams, a moisturiser and anti-ageing, one body butter and three lip balms. Creams and body butters are vegan. The lip balm can be made using beeswax or a vegan wax. No previous knowledge, training or experience is needed to attend this course as it starts from the very beginning. All raw materials used will be fully explained thus providing the knowledge to design and produce natural handmade skincare products with natural ingredients. The course will be facilitated by a fully qualified Medical Herbalist with 24 years experience who also has a diploma in Natural Organic Skincare.

Everything else needed for the course will be provided - no need to bring anything other than that which you may like to eat or drink.
About 4 hours: Arive from 9 30 am for teas, coffee, and oreienting to the space. The course will begin at 10am and run until aproximately 3pm. This will include a short break for lunch - please bring your food.
