In this class we will learn how to make Mitsuro Wax! Once you have made your own wax (I will supply my recipe) we will go on to create some jewellery. You can make anything you like. Casting isn't included but I can let you know where to send your pieces too. This class is suitable for beginners and is a great introduction to Mitsuro wax. The tuition is a bit lighter on this course, lots of being able to use this material well is mainly through play and practice. However, we will cover some basic techniques, and all the tools needed are supplied... Worth well over £100. The kit includes 90g of pre made wax worth £40. The class will take place online over Skype/Teams. You have to wait for your kit to arrive first (which may take a week or two to arrive) so do plan accordingly. Age Restrictions Classes are suitable for anyone over 12; for ages 12-16 they will need to be accompanied by an adult who is also booked into the class. FAQs
Depends which course you are booking onto and how many people are attending. If you are the only person attending, most courses will be complete within 3 hours. For groups of 3 or more you are looking at 4/5 hours for most courses.
If you are going to get hungry over the course of the session I'd advise bringing a pack lunch. There is tea and coffee available at my studio, but there isn't many shops within walking distance.
There is indeed, there is usually parking directly out front but if this is unavailable There will be parking available within the yard.
