Medieval Crossbow Making

The ultimate blacksmithing and woodworking course, Learn the ancient art of making traditional medieval crossbows under the tuition of Master Blacksmith William Holland. This 3 day course will cover all of the techniques needed to be able to forge and carve your very own crossbow to take away with you. The three day class is split in to the different stages which include; Forging the Prod / Bow Heat treatment Stock design and carving Trigger design and manufacture Material selection and function, Final assembly Forging arrow heads String making By the end of the three days you will have covered all of the techniques not just in theory but in practice, with ample time and tuition to turn theory in to reality. Everything required to come away with your very own fully functional crossbow ready for the firing range. Under 18's must be accompanied by a legal guardian over the age of 18. The Guardian does not need to pay unless they also wish to make one as well. You may wish to upgrade to an additional day at the workshop on the arrow / bolt making class where we cover all of the stages of forging arrowheads, fletching, horn inserts etc to make your own bolts for your crossbow.

What's included in the price? All the tools, materials, P.P.E (safety glasses, hearing protection, apron, etc) Tea and coffee is provided but please bring your own packed lunch. If you require non dairy milk or anything other than builders tea please bring them along with you.
