Make silver jewellery - one day workshop

X

Description

This is a one day introductory course in making silver jewellery. The day is designed for people with little or no experience of silver jewellery making, or for those experienced in making silver jewellery. Learn about basic tools, workshop practice and traditional jewellery techniques for working in silver. You will make and finish a simple band ring in the morning and then in the afternoon move on to learning to texture metals and cut out sheet silver to make a pendant or a pair of earrings. People with some experience will have the day tailored to your level. Please get in touch before the day if you have a specific project in mind so that I can be sure to have materials in stock for you. The workshops are held in my studio next to the River Tamar near Bere Alston in West Devon. The group size is small, so you will have plenty of individual attention. Following booking you will be sent an email with directions and details of what to bring. A minimum of two people are needed for the day to run as a group workshop.

What's included in the price?

All tools and equipment will be provided. The cost of materials is included unless you work very quickly and make extra pieces or want to make bigger pieces in which there will be an additional charge of silver at cost price.
