Description

Come and make your very own beautiful Rustic Willow Stool. You will first make the frame using round sticks with mortice and tenon joints and then weave a beautiful and strong willow seat using basketry willow. You can either make a foot stall or a standard height stool, making a useful addition in your home. This is a 1-day course requiring a degree of hand and finger strength.

What's included in the price?

All materials, a light lunch and refreshments throughout the day. Please bring a pair of secateurs if possible, but all tools will be provided if you do not have any.

The Stick Smith (aka Dave Jackson) makes a range of beautifully handcrafted bent stick chairs, continuous woven hurdles and woven willow features for the garden. Dave began his journey in coppice and willow crafts in 1999 and has a long history of sharing his skills and knowledge through running a variety of craft courses and workshops at events. Having started in the Malvern Hills, we are now firmly established in the Chiltern Hills in South Oxfordshire where we grow and harvest our own materials.
