Description

Resonating with worlds that have gone before us, clay connects us to the earth. Starting with a woodland walking meditation and exploration of Hawkwood’s beautiful surroundings we will gather texture and material to bring back and create a clay bowl embodying and paying homage to the beauty of our wondrous natural world. We will start the day with a meditative walk, focusing on our senses as we walk. We will gather objects and textures and experiment with imprinting onto clay. After a replenishing coffee break the following section of the day will focus on the creation of a clay bowl incorporating the textures, emotions and feelings we have gathered through our walk. Each process will be clearly demonstrated. Moulds may be used to construct the bowls and coloured slips added to illuminate the textures. Each person will be fully supported and able to bring into being an individual interpretation of their experiences. Clay and tools will be supplied- the works will be kiln fired and ready to collect or posted three weeks after the course.

What's included in the price?
