On this one-day course you will master the skills to make a box cushion. This fun one day course is for a small group of students looking to develop the skills and knowledge to make a box cushion. All materials and equipment will be provided and the course will take place in our purpose built workshop in Almondbury. The course is suitable for all skill levels, from beginners to those with some experience. The outcome of the course will be a finished box cushion sample which is yours to keep and use as a reference when making your own cushions at home. The techniques introduced will allow you to make professional high quality box cushions for your own home or for friends and family. What will be covered How to measure correctly Calculating fabric requirements for your project Options for materials and their suitability for your project Dealing with pattern matching and pattern placement Cutting out fabric How to insert zips Putting the various elements together to form your box cushion Foam and materials can be bought from Manorhouse and a large range of fabrics can be bought for future projects.
