Bedford Arts & Crafts Centre is a 'not for profit' community interest company, offering a wide range of arts & crafts courses during both daytime and evening for adults of all abilities. Our dedicated Arts & Crafts Centre is in the heart of Bedford, and our aim is to provide a community facility that inspires & empowers people to be creative and learn new skills. We recognise the importance and benefits of learning together, and the positive impact it can have on our well-being and help to reduce the feeling of isolation. We also know that in later life learning new skills (such as painting, pottery, sewing, stained glass ) help to improve and maintain memory and other cognitive abilities. A major study has found that adult education classes can significantly lower your risk of dementia. Being mentally active boosts your brain's ability to cope with damage or decline in later life. The benefits of learning continue well into old age, so lets get learning.

FAQs

We may, regretfully, have to cancel a course if we do not receive enough enrolments. This decision will be taken, in conjunction with the tutor and in consideration of the ability to cover operational costs. Changes may be made to the length or session time in order for the course to proceed and avoid disappointment, in these circumstances you will be informed as soon as possible and a refund will be made by crediting your credit/debit card or by cheques. It is not possible to refund in cash.

In the event of session cancellations due to extreme weather, tutor illness or other unforeseen circumstances, replacement or extended sessions, where possible and in conjunction with the tutor, will be offered. In the unusual event that this is not possible, we will recompense learners by issuing a pro rata credit or learning voucher against a future course.

If you have put your name down for a course and need to withdraw, a full refund or credit note will only be offered if you inform the administration office in writing or by email 10 BACC working days before the start date. If you withdraw after the 10 day cancellation period you will not be eligible for a refund or credit note.
