Description

The Kogin needle case features the popular Japanese Lotus design in lovely autumnal shades and comes as a complete kit including everything you need to complete the project apart from double sided sticky tape. This needle book embroidery kit makes a great small Kogin embroidery project. Using the finest hand dyed cotton embroidery threads in five rich colours, this design is worked in a traditional Japanese Kogin embroidery technique from a counted chart, in much the same way as cross stitch. The darker shades are reflected in the fine line running near the spine of the booklet. Pages inside the needle book give you four leaves of needle storage and are made from wool mix felt in a range of complimentary colours. (Colours may differ from those in the image, depending on availability). The needle book is held closed by a piece of contrasting elastic which slips over the back cover. This pack is intended for intermediate level. You need to be able to do basic needle weaving techniques, blanket stitch and back stitch or split stitch. Finished size is 10 x 7.5cm (approx) PACK CONTENTS: Instructions and chart. (English text). Zweigart 28 count linen (natural) Finest Perle cotton embroidery threads and high quality John James Tapestry needle. Pre cut card liner, hand sewing thread. Pre cut British wool mix felt and contrasting elastic. Please note that fabric/felt shades can vary slightly. YOU WILL NEED; Scissors and double sided adhesive tape about .5cm to 1cm wide. "This kit arrived earlier this week and is nicely packaged and has everything needed to make the item. The instructions look clear and the end product looks like it will be beautiful (depending on my skill!). The only reason I didn't give this 'excellent' is due to the fact that there's no print out for the stitches required, I'm going to look them up on YouTube as I think I know what I'm doing, but a simple print out showing how to do these stitches would be useful for others. Overall, I'd buy this kit again, or another kit from the same maker."
