Course Start DatesFriday 19th June 2020
About the Course
The focus of a Go Deer Retreat is just leaving your cares behind and relaxing with like minded people to spend the weekend knitting, sewing, spinning or crocheting, whilst we prepare you delicious home cooked food and generally look after you!
Retreats are 4 days and 3 nights long starting Friday afternoon and ending mid morning on Monday.
On arrival on Friday evening, your host will welcome you and the group will get to know each other during drinks and dinner. On Saturday and Sunday there will be as much time as you like to craft, an afternoon walk with your host and others if the weather is good, or you might prefer to swim in the pool or dip in the hot tub. Everyday there will of course be breakfast, lunch, pre-dinner drinks and dinner all together, the kitchen forming the hub of the house during this relaxing weekend.
Prices vary depending on room but start at £299 for a triple room. Other venues available.
If booking with a CraftCourses voucher for part or all of the course fee, please fill in the contact form above. Your voucher code must be provided at the point of booking.
What's included in the price?
This retreat is designed for those who knit, crochet, sew, or spin! That's basically anyone who makes textile craft with their hands (and sewing machines!)
Imagine whole days dedicated to your favourite pastimes in beautiful surroundings, with like-minded people and experienced makers and hosts on hand to facilitate the group, support with making, feed you wonderful food and make your retreat everything you wish for.
The Roundhouse is a magnificent timber framed barn conversion with 8 ensuite bedrooms sleeping 13 all together. The overall feel of the Roundhouse is modern but cosy with underfloor heating and a woodburner if it gets chilly in the evening.
There are wonderful rolling hills all around and a 12m heated indoor pool and games room for relaxation.
Everything is included in the price, food, accomodation, wine. They are not taught weekends, but more like an extended knit and natter for all textile makers. Consequently materials for your making are not included. If you are a dressmaker or sewist then you will have Saj who is an expert sewing tutor on hand to assist you!
I absolutely love Go Deer retreats! By far the best crafting retreat around, the service, accommodation, food, friendliness and fun to be had is just outstanding. Far superior to other craft retreats I’ve been on in the past by other companies. I’m attending my 3rd Go Deer retreat early next year and can’t wait! Thank you Saj (& Lauren for the amazing food!). Xx
