About the Course
At The Crafting Place you can find knitting classes for everyone and all abilities.
Lots of people book one to one lessons to learn from scratch or to cover a specific technique or pattern. The lessons are £15 per hour and have the benefits of going at your own pace and covering exactly what you want.
During the year we run a couple of sessions of beginner lessons that run for 8 hours over 4 weeks where you will learn the main stitiches and how to combine them into garments, and special techniques such as colourwork and cables. You will also learn to read patterns so you can continue to knit and develop your skills at home.
We also regularly run a short course of 4 hours over 2 weeks where you will learn knit, purl, increasing, decreasing and how to read patterns so you can continue to knit and develop your skills at home

I went on the beginners course and it was really good - by the end we had made a fancy scarf and a hat and were able to carry on at home as we had all the basics. I've also been back a couple of times to work with Vicki on specific patterns that have more complicated techniques. She has the patience of a saint! She is really knowledgeable and creative and always encouraging!
