Introduction to Indian Block Printing with Von's Craftery

Come and join me for a fun and relaxing session learning how to create a unique masterpiece printed with wooden Indian blocks. Each workshop lasts approximately 2.5 hours during which you get to design and create your own masterpiece. This session is suitable for all abilities, even if you don’t think you’re ‘arty’ - you’ll surprise yourself! After a demonstration, with plenty of tips and tricks shared, you get to practice before finalising your choice of blocks and colours. With as much guidance as you need, you then get to hand print your own design of a tea towel, tote bag or drawstring bag which will be heat-set to make it colour fast, ready for you to take with you! Plenty of chatting, coffee and cake, you’ll find the time flies - we aim for enjoyment, not perfection and for you to leave with something that makes you smile! I can accommodate groups of up to 4 in my home studio, or can travel to venues with max group size of 8.

- Demonstration and tuition. - Use of all equipment including aprons. - Large choice of blocks and paint colours to use. - Practice fabric. - Finished item (dependent on workshop, but usually tea-towel, tote bag or drawstring bag). - Tea/coffee and cake.
