Description
Love the look and feel of felt, but don't like the felting process? You're in the right place! Come and join me for a couple of hours of felty fun without getting your hands wet! This course involves ready-made felt, and we will put together a felt garland using felt balls, felt shapes, and simple hand-stitched hearts or flowers. You can add beads, buttons or sequins if you want to add some pizazz, or otherwise let the huge array of felt colours do the talking. We slowly build our felt shapes first, selecting a range of colours and contrasting threads to create individual items to intersperse with the felt balls on the garland. Choosing from my vast array of colours and sizes, we then choose the sequence and ordering of your items, before stringing together onto a length of cord, to produce your unique garland. If you prefer you can use a shorter length and create curtain tie-backs or bag tags/key rings. Please note, to successfully thread the felt balls onto the cord, we use pliers to pull the needles through so there is some manual dexterity/strength needed, and obviously use of needles with sharp points!
