Description
This course is an opportunity to learn and practice basic hand embroidery stitches in a fun and friendly atmosphere. You will learn about the basic materials and equipment used in hand embroidery, how to transfer designs on to fabric and how to choose colours for your designs. You will then be shown how to do some basic but decorative stitches ,which you can practice on scrap fabric before starting to embroider a complete design, using an embroidery hoop to keep the work taut and easier to embroider. We will show you how to neaten the fabric and use ribbon to display your creation. In this course you will use simple designs we have stamped on to fabric for you but the choice of colours and stitches to use is up to you!
What's included in the price?
All fabric and thread, tools and equipment used on the day is included and you can take away your embroidery work and hoop with enough thread to be able to finish or further embellish your embroidered piece at home if desired.
