Welcome to the Heart shaped willow wreath course run by Forest of Mercia CIC. The perfect way to get in the mood for Valentines / Galentines Day! Join us on February 7, 2026 at 10:00 AM to learn how to create beautiful heart-shaped wreaths using willow. Let your creativity flow in the midst of nature as you craft your own unique piece. No prior experience is needed, just bring your enthusiasm! Don't miss out on this opportunity to connect with nature and unleash your artistic side. See you there! More information - Heart shaped willow wreath course. Join us at Hilton Green outdoor education centre, Essington for our willow heart weaving workshop. Learn about basketry tools, materials & techniques. Harvest willow from our willow beds and have a go at making your very own willow heart wreath. All tools and materials will be provided. If you would like to use your own gloves and secateurs then please bring them with you. This course will require patience, and the use of sharp tools so is not suitable for children under the age of 16. We will be working in our large polytunnel so please wrap up warm. Tea & coffee provided, please feel free to bring your own packed lunch / snacks as there are no shops nearby. Finding us... The Forest Of Mercia CIC provide environmental education for all. We run courses from our outdoor education site in Essington, Hilton Green. The site boasts 7 acres of green space with a beautiful yurt, wooden floating outdoor classroom and large polytunnel craft space. We also run courses from different sites across Staffordshire and the Black Country.
