Hand painted silk and leather leaf brooch - Beech

X

Description

Hand-painted silk and leather Beech leaf brooch, with jewellery clip. The leaf measures approximately 10cm x 5cm, 4" x 2", each leaf is individually hand-painted so they vary slightly in colour and texture. The brooch will be presented on an A6 size greeting card (as shown in the first image) that has been left blank for your message.

How this was made

After observation of real-life autumn oak leaves, collected on my everyday walks, I hand-painted silk satin to create the upper layer of the leaf. Then after backing each leaf with soft glove leather and attaching a jewellery clip, each leaf has been individually hand-tooled using traditional millinery flower-making tools. The brooch will be presented on an A6 size greeting card (as shown in the first image) that has been left blank for your message. Dispatch via Royal Mail First Class Post is included, and the brooch is securely packed in tissue paper in a "large letter" posting envelope. The box can also be gift wrapped and a personalised card added - please include the address of the recipient and the card details in the comments box - if you would like this item sent direct. For non-UK dispatches please enquire. In the images attached, you will also see the other leaves available in this collection.
