Description
Want to experiment with glass without having to commit to a full course? Our half day workshops provide the opportunity to try your hand at making your choice of a coral bowl, coasters, a wreath, or garden hanging. On the course you will learn a little about the basic types of fusing and the finishes that can be achieved with each, before trying your hand at cutting glass. Once you are confident in your cutting, you will get the opportunity to design, cut and prepare your glass for firing, choosing from a wide range of sheet, frit and accessory glass from the Bullseye Company - specialist fusing glass producers in the US. Once completed, your piece will be fired ready for collection at a later date or posted on to you at cost (excluding the coral bowl which is too fragile to post). Courses run throughout the year and places are limited to four per course, so please book early to avoid disappointment. Please note - if you wish me to come to you this can be arranged at an additional fee. I can also offer courses at an alternative location for larger groups.

Hi, my name is Jane and I am 'A Touch of Glass'. I have been fusing for over 15 years and love the opportunity to share my passion for glass with my students. I believe that everyone has it in them to be creative, and love to see complete beginners surprise themselves with the glass items the produce. I would love the opportunity to introduce you to the joy of glass.
