Description
To begin, we will go outside to do some preliminary sketches focusing on hedgerows and seed heads. Returning to the studio, and using a gelli plate, a number of pieces of collage papers will be created using acrylic paint with tissue paper and old vintage dress patterns. Pieces are then torn, placed and glued to prepared board. Layers are overlapped to create further depth and new shapes. The whole board is covered with a thin layer of glue, and the layering process is repeated. The board is then covered completely with one colour of diluted ink to pull the image together. The artwork is then dried and can be further drawn/doodled into to embellish details with ink pens. Suitable for all abilities with the emphasis on fun and creativity. All materials included and refreshments provided, however, please bring a packed lunch. Limited places available - please book to avoid disappointment.
