Have always wanted to have a go at lamp-work. My fused glass teacher recommended me to look at the CraftCourses site and l found the lamp-work course run by Jo. Jo is an excellent, hands-on and extremely patient teacher. I learnt so much in this short introductory course that left me inspired and wanting to further explore the art.
Response from Turner Rowe Glass Art:It was my pleasure! Loved your enthusiasm and you made a great batch of beads. I look forward to seeing you again at a future date. Jo :)
Had an amazing time at Jo's workshop, she is friendly and calm and happy to explain as much of the science behind the art as you want. Her studio is quiet and calm and full of plenty of inspiration and she is happy to allow you to explore your creative self having as much or as little support and help as you need! Absolutely fabulous and will certainly be returning for more workshops.
I had a great time on this course learning about the basics of lamp work. Jo is a friendly instructor, with good depth of knowledge about her art. After a short safety talk and demonstration I was put straight into making beads. I also got to have a go at spotting and stringer techniques. I would definitely recommend this course to anyone interested in glass art.
Response from Turner Rowe Glass Art:Thanks Kirk, it was my pleasure!
