Free Motion Embroidery - An Introduction to Machine Embroidery

Learn the art of free motion embroidery. This workshop will show you everything you need to know and give you plenty of opportunity to explore free motion embroidery. The talented Michelle Corbin will be on hand to share her knowledge and skill to guide you through the workshop. The workshop is suitable for beginners. However, If you've already attended a free motion class previously and are wanting to progress your skills you're also very welcome. What will be covered During the workshop you will learn how to set up a sewing machine for free motion embroidery. You will practice the techniques working on different samples of stitch. These include line and applique styles. After all the practice you will create your own collage or picture to take home. Through clear instruction and demonstration you will learn everything you need to know to get started. By the end of the session you will have the confidence to play with your own ideas. All sewing machines and materials are provided. If you are wanting to take the opportunity to set up your own sewing machine at home. You can either bring your machine along with you or make sure you know the make and model so we can guide you.
