Fire Horse - Adult Intermediate level Needle Felting Workshop

Taking place at The Art Yard gallery in Cradley Heath, from 10am-5pm this is an adult needle felting workshop with tutor Natalie Harris (Brooks). Natalie is a fine artist using needle felting and the creator of Roly Poly Ponies. This workshop is aimed at adult (18+) that already have experience in needle felting and are looking to pick up new techniques or to step up and challenge themselves. Although this stylised horse is a bit more simplified than other equine workshops, this is not a suitable workshop for first time felters or complete beginners.... Have a look at my events page for beginners workshops if you are looking to start your needle felting journey... Snowy Owls or penguins in January are an excellent place to start. There will be a selection of reds, yellows and oranges for you to use and make the horse your own, however, if you had a very specific colour scheme in mind, please let me know well in advance and i will do my best to accommodate you. The base, hooves and lower legs will be pre-made for you so that you can concentrate on the felting element of the workshop. All materials and tools are provided... though you are of course welcome to bring your own handle or felting mat if you have your own favourite. Tea and coffee will be available, but lunch is not included. Please bring a packed lunch with you. Booking essential, £45 per person. Full T+C's are available upon request

Natalie is a fine artist that has been using needle felting as a part of her practice since 2015. Natalie uses felting in both 2D and 3D works and has had work shown nationally including the RBSA, Society of Equestrian Artists, Wolverhampton Art Gallery, The New Art Gallery Walsall and The Herbert, Coventry. Notable exhibitions include National Trust owned Beningbrough Hall's "Oh Wise Owl" sculpture trail in 2017. In 2018 she was selected for the "Character Portrait Project" through Midland Film and Arts. She was part of the George Stubbs inspired exhibition at Normanby Hall and Country Park in 2024. Natalie is a lead artist at The Art Yard in Cradley Heath and regularly shows work with them. Natalie is also the creator of the fun and quirky Roly Poly Ponies and runs regular workshops for all levels.
