Janet is an experienced teacher and can show you the principles of how to work with more than one colour, two handed knitting, the principles of Fair Isle knitting and how to work with pattern charts.
Participants need to be able to do basic knitting, ie knit and purl stitches.

- Knitting needles size 3.75-4mm.
- Four contrasting colours of double knitting wool yarn.
The yarns should be substantially different so that they show up otherwise it will be hard to learn. This should not be very smooth yarn like merino. Drops karisma works well and is economically priced. It can be bought from main suppliers or knitting shops. Wool Warehouse stock it.
