Description
The Potters Sister is a pottery studio based in Chorley, Lancashire. We regularly run fun & informal adult pottery sessions for those aged 18 years & over. This 4-week throwing course (4 x 2hr sessions) is great for those wanting to learn how to throw pottery on the potters wheel. You may be an absolute beginner or wanting to refresh your skills. Each week we will guide you through the basic knowledge of throwing pots. You will learn how to centre, open up & pull your clay walls. The course will be guided by your pace of learning, whilst exploring a different skill set each week. We explore throwing tools, different forms, lidded pots along with altered forms. During each session there is time to self practice the skills. There is a maximum of 2 students with 1 tutor on this course, ensuring that you have hands on & verbal support throughout the course. The course is designed to practice form appose to making lots of pots. Clay & the firing of your two favourite pots from each session is included in the price. Unfortunately once booked, missed sessions cant be refunded or rescheduled, so please ensure that you can attend all sessions before booking. Days and times are flexible to suit you. Classes run daytime, evenings & weekends. 2 of your favourite pots will be fired each week & is included in the price. You have the option of returning to the studio to glaze your pots. Glazing sessions are £15 per 2 session. The Potters Sister pottery studio is based in the Market Town of Chorley, closed to the town centre. The studio is a few minutes walk from the local transport links. The studio is the sister site of The crafty Potter, Heskin.
