Brian Crosbie local musician and instrument maker will guide you through the stages of making your own Appalachian dulcimer or cigar box guitar. You’ll design and make the sound box from modelling plywood and a neck from locally grown hardwood. You’ll string the neck and create sound holes and decoration using coping saws, craft knives and files.
The remaining time on the second day will be taken up with lessons around the camp fire learning how to play your very own instrument.
