About the Course

This is a great course for beginners, come along and learn how to construct a garment. Rebecca will show you cutting and layout techniques as well as provide you with information on choosing patterns and fabrics. Learn many techniques on the day including how to sew darts and seams, insert a zip and apply facings.

If you complete both part one and two, you will have the techniques and knowledge to create tops and skirts. The techniques learnt can also be applied to dresses, trousers and jackets too.

What's included in the price?

Materials are provided on this course. Please bring your own sewing machine, if you have one. It is best to learn techniques on your own machine.

Don't worry if you don't have a sewing machine, we have spare machines that you may borrow during the course. Please bring your own lunch or if you are attending a course at The Flowerpot, it is located next to The Village Tearoom, most students sit in for lunch but they also do takeaway. There is also a bakery and Co-Op on the Heath.

We provide refreshments throughout the course including decaf options and hot chocolate.
